Autocross is basically through cones on a big parking lot or airfield against time. 2nd and 3rd gear stuff. Lower chance of car damage. Possibly tougher on tires because all turns are basically extreme, high transition stuff. Look up SCCA Solo.
Wifey is happy for me and my black ST. I think she finally understands why it’s special, too, now that she’s seen how I’ve done autocrossing it. You won’t be miserable with a Cayman, though!

I propose that the left lane be texturized using very small intermittent bumps for the entire distance. Or maybe like those buzzing strips they press into the pavement near toll booths or on the shoulder, but probably not as loud. Then people would only stay in the left lane as long as needed and get out.
