This game looks beautiful and sounds absolutely amazing. My eyes and ears are bleeding honey just from watching that video alone. Even the facial animations are cranked up a notch.

...However the over-the-top explos-y action kills all the realism the graphics and sounds of the game tries to convey. I cannot fathom why

Telltale's The Walking Dead has "realistic" cutting through limb sequence, so does Heavy Rain (kinda), both are rated M, so I don't think it would make the rating go higher.

It's not the dubstep I hate. It's the improper usage of it with movies where it does not really fit into.

At least it's not dubstep...

I believe most of us Europeans knew... I mean it's hard to avoid hearing about it, simply asking "mommy, why is there iodine pills in our medicine cabinet?" got me well informed back when I was mere five years old.

Wait, I thought this 'Easter egg' was a common knowlede?! Probably the first thing I noticed back when Reach was released was that you could see Halsey's face on her ID badge when looking it against light (knowing Bungie I went through all the swag with careful eye looking for eggs like such as this).

Oh man that game is scaaaary....

In a perfect world I'd have just that! Blomkamp for Half-Life (1) and Cuarón for Half-Life 2 . Both director has their own talent for direction and knack for visual style working on their side.

I am one of those fans you're referring to. I absolutely adore Halo series, it's my Star Trek to a trekkie. Everything about the universe is fascinating and interesting to me... Well, everything until the ending of Halo 3.

Holy! You are right. I knew that Blomkamp would be perfect for Half-Life, but Abrams for Halo? Oh, yes. I could see that, very much so indeed.

Half-Life movie does not need JJ Abrams to direct for it to succeed really.

Good choice. The first game really is the best in the series. Perfect balance of interesting story and sneaking. Chaos Theory is good, but it's missing that something the first one captured.

Interesting... The offical Glee channel on youtube is not available at the moment. I wonder if this debacle has anything to do with it. (Can't say as this is the first, and most likely the only time me actively searching anything related Glee...)

It's weird. I've always loved the first Splinter Cell the most, with the Chaos Theory as a strong continuation to that game. But for some weird reason I also really loved Conviction. I did not love it because it was so much not a SC game, but because it had really compelling narrative. It was wonderfully bittersweet

I've always thought 3D as a stupid fad. I don't have any interest buying 3D TV, and rarely if ever watch willfully 3D movie in theather. (The only movie I truly enjoyed, I mean enjoyed more with the 3D than without, was Dredd 3D. That movie is amazing!)

I for one welcome this news open arms. Now I'm gonna buy the game even harder than what I originally planned to do (wait, what?)... Now hopefully this means more and better single player content for me to enjoy.

Interesting tidbit for all interested:

There are not many games I keep coming back to once I've beaten them. Mirror's Edge is one of them...
