@soulfinger: I always mixed toy genres, but teams were generally big versus small. Such fun. It's neat to watch my oldest boy do the same thing with his toys now too.

This movie is like one of those rainy day afternoons you had as a kid where you played with all the toys in the house no matter whose it was. You ended up with He-Man flying off on a My Little Pony trying to escape the gang of G.I. Joe and Star Wars figures who were trying to capture him to feed to the museum shark…
@neverwanderer: Couldn't agree more. Loved the first AvP comics and was just waiting for a movie from that point on. Funny how so many imagined movies from my youth have been such a letdown in reality.
@SpammerOvTheGods: Hopefully he'll farm out everything.
@PlaidNinja: Oh, that makes perfect sense. Lucas is his own biggest fan anyways.
@Vinzent: Honestly I've never considered this to be cannon, just fun.
I think they toy with the idea of a Halo movie about once a year just mess with me. Going from the book is the best news I've heard in a while. Not sure about Spielberg though. His involvement doesn't mean nearly what it once did. At least not on my book.
I dare anyone to go to the linked article and try to understand it.
@iamnomad: Not to mention some weirds Scrubs meets Dexter stuff going on too.
I love this book, but I'm not really excited about a movie version of it. Just make Eric Nylunds, The Fall Of Reach. The first half of which is a pretty solid rip off of Ender's Game and we get our Halo movie. (Oh I could beat this horse forever...) Two birds with one stone. Just keep Gavin Hood away from both…
@tetracycloide: On one hand I am a fan of the series, so I might be a bit overly optimistic about the market penetration. On the other hand we are talking about a franchise that's done 1.7 billion with games and merchandise together. I think that's got to say something about the depth of the market penetration. I…
@tetracycloide: Not sure if I agree with that. A well done sci-fi movie is always relevant, whether it's attached to a franchise or not. At this point Halo is buried deep enough in the geek consciousness that it would still evoke decent nostalgia viewing even fifteen or twenty years from now. Not to mention with…
@ceti: After watching those clips all I could think was, "Holy crap, it's the Monarch behind Skeletor's mask!"
@thefunkdoc: Lucky you...
@thefunkdoc: That's funny. Hope you didn't know the retard, or if you did, you didn't like the guy.
@thefunkdoc: Nope. It was posted on [www.geekologie.com] today, and I thought it was pretty ironic that the next site I visited was posting a how-to on gas siphoning.
If only this guy:
I never read any of the John Carter novels, but i devoured all of the Tarzan stuff. Might be time to go check it out. Although I'll probably wait until after I see the movie.
@lightninglouie: Holy crap, I never realized that he was Hagrid up until when I looked up what you were talking about just now. I have no idea what Cracker is. I'm probably less of a person for not knowing, but I stopped watching TV some years back.
@corpore-metal: Ah Tex, she ripped a mans skull out and beat him to death with it. How is that even possible?
