I still love this movie for all of it's cheesy 80's nostalgia soaked awesomeness. It's like the thrift store store of sci-fi fantasy. Giant spiders, burrowing squid brain things, lasers, swords, magic throwing stars, a spontaneously destructing castle space ship, flying fire horses, a cyclops, a geriatric Gandolf

@Lassus: Look at it this way. This film, if successful enough could be the gateway drug that gets some other films made. On the other hand, we geeks are always pissing and moaning that there aren't any new ideas coming out of Hollywood. I've got no problem with them making an original sci-fi movie that isn't based

Hmm... they just might pull me back in with this game. If nothing else it gives us a whole new set of BioShock trailers to enjoy. Even if 2 wasn't that great, the trailers are always a blast.

@Heliophage: This is what you thought about in sixth grade?! I was pretty impressed with myself for making a totally non-functional parachute out of a garbage bag. I guess my parents were right about me...

The Crow doesn't need a re-make. If you want to tell another story in the Crow Mythos, fine do what you want, but Eric Draven has had his story told. It was done well, and just as importantly, almost did the original comic justice. There are hundreds of vengeance stories that could be told in this universe, find

@Tyrunn: Actually Eric Draven is the original Crow in the comics done by the Crow creator James O'Barr. He wrote it to deal with the death of his girlfriend at the hands of a drunk driver. It is by far the best of the Crow comics. [en.wikipedia.org]

I wasn't so sure that Hemsworth was a good choice for this role, but he's slowly starting to win me over. Seems like a genuinely nice guy. Of course he's an actor, and that's his job, to convince you of something...

@ltwass: I'm talking about Blackhawk Down style of firefights. On a somewhat even basis, but real gritty street to street, house to house type of sci-fi fighting.

@TimeToWakeUp: Couldn't be more with you on this one.

I hope we see a trend toward this type of sci-fi movie. It seems that so many Aliens vs. Humans stuff is so far out there or lopsided tech wise. I loves me some military sci-fi, but it's yet to be done well in the movies without spreading the cheese, (I'm looking at you Starship troopers!) with the exceptional few

This was a fun clip to watch for sure, but it's not nearly enough to make a movie off of. It's just like watching a great trailer, then going to the movie and realizing you've already seen all the best parts. This clip is as good as it's going to get. I just don't see how a big studio with a big name (white guy or

After reading a lot of the comments here, I'm glad I still have the ability to enjoy a fun movie without freaking out about every little technical detail. Go see it people, it's a great flick.

It always seemed odd to me that there was such a negative reaction to established authors doing the tie in stuff. Nobody says anything negative about enjoying the Star wars universe on film, or letting another directer take a stab at playing in someone else's universe. No one was upset that Genndy Tartakovsky did

@ExtensionOfBob: Without a doubt Van Helsing was better than Brothers Grimm. Van Helsing never took itself seriously and ended up being a great popcorn flick. Brothers Grimm on the other hand was just boring. I so wanted to like it too.

@the_fonz: Yeah, I think I was putting the embed code in, instead of the link. Thanks.

Kind of reminds me of the Star Guitar video by Chemical Brothers. I'll figure out how embed one of these days.

@elSpanielo: Nope, I love this movie for all of it's absurd popcorn goodness. Best use of discarded train parts ever!

@Karl Prosek: Yeah, and it was this huge moral dilemma for him. Sabertooth had to threaten every female Wolvie knew in order to get him to do it. Logan can slice and dice any no name lackey that crosses his path, but get one psycho serial killer in the basement and there has to be a big to do over it. Yes I suppose
