I agree with much of what you say. The problem is that if you let them set their own rate it will do the opposite and create a race to the bottom. $20 bucks for 3 hours is less than minimum wage.  That doesn’t sound great at all.

If that happens, just inform them that if the keys don’t resurface in the time it takes the police to get there then some grand theft auto charges will be getting filed. The keys magically resurface with this approach.

I really wish we could reset and make it so not every business has to operate at an ever increasing profit. They still turn a profit, it just isn’t a bigger one than it was before. HOW IS THIS BAD FROM A COMPANY SUSTAINABILITY STANDPOINT?
