Totally agree. My $20 eBay remote from China does everything this does except the accelerometer (which I can't imagine being all that useful anyways), light, and sound triggers. Just because you can do this with a smartphone doesn't make it a better solution

yes, I'm aware of that but the iPad 2 worked fine w/ 256MB total. Aside from the higher resolution, I don't think any of the other improvements require a bump in RAM

2GB is probably overkill for a tablet unless you want to do something ridiculous like run Crysis at that resolution. My desktop only has 1GB of GDDR5 that does 5760x1080 w/o any problems
