Oh they read lots of things. Unfortunately, it is things like this that they read & post around fb:

Sadly, I have a couple of well-educated dear friends who are in the "vaccines=bad" camp.

Unfortunately, I am no longer surprised by these kinds of comments. I am so glad you did not hear many of these kinds of comments.

If I was going to design giant fighting robots, they would not be bipedal. I would go with an insect or spider-like structure so they could cover more types of terrain. THIS WAS ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT for the whole movie.

Agh! I have actually been to the R.E. Lee church before in Virginia. I remember saying to someone, "Huh, usually churches are named after a saint." And they said back, "Well, Robert E. Lee WAS a saint". I just . . walked away. I could not even figure out how to respond to that - at least not at a wedding.

Wow. I have heard people say it sarcastically, but not seriously. And my family is from Virginia (old Virginia, not-outside- of-DC sophisticates). I guess I should not be surprised, yet somehow I am.

I am honestly curious - have you heard anyone say the "War of Northern Aggression" other than sarcastically? Do people actually say that?

I am crying I am laughing so hard . . .

It is possible that he violated HIPPA; although the CEO could claim that referencing the two "distressed babies" was "anonymous" because he did not include personally identifiable information. However, I think it is likely that anyone who knew the parents involved would have known to whom he was referring.

What? AOL is not on the list?

I wish this was what you found - many suffragettes organized marched, went to jail so women could vote.

Thank you for sharing this.

I agree that allowing someone to admit they are wrong is very worthwhile. I know I always hope people will forgive me when I am the one who messes up.

I know how I am going to make decisions from now on - "WWKD?" The answer right now is to blow off work and look at the Ask Keith site all day -

Fair points.

I think there is a significant change to the story now that Dylan (as an adult) has publicly said that she was assaulted. Before, the story was just that there was an accusation in the middle of a custody dispute and not enough evidence to prosecute. Before Dylan spoke out, there was much less of a reason to think/

I keep thinking the Stephen King thing must be a mistake - maybe Stephen King meant that tweet to refer to something completely different? How can any grown-up person refer to an article about childhood sexual abuse as having "palpable bitchery"?

That was my first thought too!!!! When Jenny McCarthy is the voice of reason, god help us all . . .

But it is SO MUCH easier to point the finger at someone else than to have to think about our own past!

In America, there are a lot of people who are descended from both a slave AND a slave owner. So should should we all just apologize to ourselves?
