There's also this extension that does the same thing, but has a few more options; mainly, the ability to change/reorder the default search engine the extension uses. (It also has a better toolbar icon /opinion). I can't remember, but I may have seen it here on Lh first. Actually works pretty well for me.

The New Tab page in Chrome houses app icons from that very Web Store. The Web Store is one of the "apps." This tip is talking about creating a shortcut to the actual extensions page, that shows your installed extensions.

I like them, but I don't need them. I only have them enabled on my iPod touch for Facebook, Google Voice and NYT alerts. It kind of turns it into a phone whenever I'm near wifi, which nowadays is constantly.

I'll never understand why computer thieves don't wipe the hard drive and reinstall the OS of their brand-new loot. That would be the most-logical thing to do? But I'm not complaining.

@gerald.naylor: CR-48 too. The seamless syncing between it and my main machine's browser is spectacular. TabCloud extension? Perfect.

I would look into Chrome OS. If you're ready to take the jump into the cloud, it suits many users' needs perfectly. It's essentially the Chrome browser built on top of GNU/Linux. It boots in under 5 seconds; it's essentially an instant-on OS. It is very lightweight, seeing as it is being optimized exclusively for

You will indeed get pulled over if you pass on the road in the picture.

Apps, autofill forms, bookmarks, extensions, passwords, browser preferences, and browser theme are all tied into your account.

This is pretty much already possible with a Chrome browser synced to your Google account, but I guess Apple's implementation will have more magical tech as its base.

What about the skimmer app in my Chrome browser?

Google themselves has hinted at Chrome and Android merging. Android's browser w/ tabs could essentially morph into Chrome.

But if these are going to run Chrome OS or Android, they'll also be running primarily "apps" instead of "applications." Tegra chips would be a welcome addition. Take it from a CR-48 owner: the Atom is not enough.

lol. The sarcasm wasn't that obvious at first.

Rachel Maddow just flashed a screenshot of this very page on her show! Thought you'd like to know.

Can't wait for these other ones. I like the Xoom, but now I find out the iPad's graphics are significantly faster, making the Xoom's price equivalent to murder as far as I'm concerned. It's the MOST expensive on this chart.

We're all doing music on our phones now anyways, which is I guess what's driving Microsoft towards this, but it still pisses me off for some reason. Dropping Zune, no tablet software til 2012, what ARE they working on? Windows 8 better be fucking fantastic.

Will this be the device to break the iPad price barrier?

They both have supercar proportions, not really anything else in common.

Looking forward to port Honeycomb onto mine.
