I wanna see Sam L. Jackson return as one-armed Dino hater.

“Setup is often easier than follow-through.”
It’s funny because I hated Neverwhere and loved American Gods... so maybe the swapped parts mean something.
I think he often uses the conceit of the secret world just out of sight but does very different things with it. I was going to say his short stories are a little different but now that I think about it a lot of them have similar plots as well. It isn’t about the plots it’s about the stories.
I would argue that Neverwhere is a lot more plot-driven. A lot more of an adventure vs. a road trip novel. Mayhew does things a lot more than Shadow, who mostly has things done to him. I think that Neverwhere is a safer bet of a recommendation (in my experience). While AG is polarizing (love it/think it’s meandering…
Come on man, no need for snark. All you’ve said is that “they’re the same book”. Just elaborate. They feature very different protagonists and antagonists, with completely different supporting characters, in very different settings, doing very different things for very different reasons. About all I can see they have…
Found this on the tiny English language rack of a bookstore in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain. It’s the only book from that trip that I didn’t leave behind at a hostel.
Neverwhere is to American Gods what the UK is, sort of, to the US.

No shit. This movie was fucking fantastic.
It’s okay. You can go back to enjoying Fast & Furious.
Your comment was a turd. Why the post? :/
Meanwhile, Varys is still waiting for Tyrion to come back from his piss.

Oh, it will happen. And we’ll all wish it didn’t.
Isn’t he a little short for a stormtrooper?
Ringworld. Long overdue for a movie, or miniseries.
I’d love to see these two books turned into a series, maybe two seasons for each book. Tons of characters, great world building. Plus there is another trilogy after, that could be brought over if these two went well.
HBO, I fucking dare you.
That’s an odd takeaway
