My mother, in 1961, contracted rubella while she was pregnant. My sister was born with severe mental retardation and microcephaly. She lived less than 3 months. My mother-in-law also contracted rubella when she was pregnant, in 1959. My sister-in-law's life was touch and go for many months. She was born deaf and to

And you as well :)

I was being partially facetious, but thinking more of this very real thing that seems to make Tea Partiers nuts if it has to do with Obama - How dare Michelle Obama tells us to drink WATER?, Why does the Secret Service have to follow Malia around on VACATION, How DARE Obama put his feet up on the desk in the Oval

Quite simply put, "Obama Derangement Syndrome".

It might be a pinched nerve. That sucks, too, and will make it hard for school, but it's not necessarily a brain tumor. Best thing is to try to get it checked out so that you know.

I attribute it to "Obama Derangement Syndrome" which seems to be multiplied by a factor of 10 when Michelle is the Obama in question. See Limbaugh going off about Michelle suggesting people drink more water or Palin force-feeding kids cookies as examples.

And seriously, who wants to eat at a place where they don't provide their employees health care or sick days? I don't want anyone horking over my food. I keep trying to tell my republican family that when we're compassionate, we are actually also helping ourselves.

You won't regret it. All the Nuns who spoke when we saw them last fall were great, but Sr. Simone is a force of nature!

Wow - even in the case of the life of the mother. I thought the person I was talking to was bad.

Certainly no need to apologize. I blasted said person as a "so-called pro-life" hypocritical asshole of the highest order.

Here is what makes me most sad. I have made this argument and have actually received the response, "Then she deserved it - she's a murderer and deserves to die".

Good lord, I first read the Beiber item as "The smell of sticky icky on Justin Bieber's private PARTS was overwhelming to the pilot". Definitely need some sleep...

;)

Oh, I know, I read those after I commented. I always thought we were lucky to have the money to buy those so I apologize if I came off as insensitive.

We live in Michigan, definitely not rich. We bought a couple (literally) for my son that he used from 1st - 12th grade. The second bag was purchased around 7th grade only because he needed a larger one. We really stretched to buy the first one, but knew LL Bean's quality. In the long run we spent much less on

My hope is that Michelle, Amanda and Gina know how much fucking stronger they are than this POS. He couldn't take 2 months of the captivity he made them endure for 11 years (and many other horrible things besides). If nothing else, I sincerely hope that helps their healing.

Yes, agree with you. I was around at that time. I also absolutely read the article when it first came out. I am both from Detroit and an old

They are of the group that is constantly bleating, "Responsible gun owners should not be persecuted for safely using guns", "Responsible gun owners ALWAYS know where their guns are at ALL times", "Responsible gun owners NEVER break the law", etc., etc.

I hear you! A couple of days ago, I saw a picture of the Stones' "Some Girls" album and told my husband that I loved that cover because it reminded me of these ads, which I also loved as a kid.
