I post the following information because it helped me, as a self-proclaimed conservative who wanted Bernie and cried/died a little inside when I voted for Hillary. The shortest summary of what is below is that both sides are acting and reacting naturally, and we are stuck in a cycle that will take some very deliberate

I could tell you why, but you aren’t going to like it. We lose because we champion our own freedom of speech while simultaneously shitting on other people’s freedom of movement, by blocking the roads. We encourage colleges to speak freely, while muzzling anyone we don’t agree with. We say that debate is critical to

IMO the left lost because those who espouse it’s greatness come across as smug assholes. The concerns of the left don’t match up with the concerns of people who live in flyover country. High minded ideas such as global warming, universal heath care, and equal rights are at the top of the pyramid of needs.

The US has always had two dominant parties, but it also had a political spectrum with many politicians having a wide variety of views on different issues. Which reflected the views and needs of different parts of the country. Bills were passed by appealing to people on both sides of the aisle, enacting compromises and

Well, now you’ve highlighted a completely different issue in this country. The extreme political divide that makes cooperation and compromise literally impossible. Just because an (R) championed something (that never went anywhere) doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good idea and desperately needed.

That’s the Catch 22. Because the only people who can change it are the ones who benefit the most from the status quo.

Campaign finance reform, term limits and fixing the congressional district gerimandering system. That will force politicians to care about what their constituants actually want.

Because your side isn’t really on your side? Do you really think all those big (D) politicians are actually championing the causes of progressivism?

There’s still time! VW has been kicking that microbus concept around for ages, I hear its coming soon...

nice.. one of very few cases where the production version ended up nicer than the prototype

The Gawker influence never truly leaves.

It is a scientific fact, that if you ignore fire, it will go away. The key is to not look directly at it, and to back away slowly as to not startle it.

Would have been so good.

Sigh....this just makes me ache with sadness.

Blah blah blah

Commander - get POE. I played back in beta for almost a year and then some after and its like d2 with 10000% extra awesome additions.

Technological competence doesn’t determine your right to vote on everything. Votes are for local school boards as well, not just Presidential/Congressional offices. That said, as a minority that has a hard time being turned out to vote, WE KNOW HOW TO CARRY A PIECE OF I.D. We’re not morons. We depend on our IDs and

This was pretty meh, as far as messages go. Like the Latina voter and black voter both showed up with no ID’s, for some reason but did have them at home where they could leave the line and get them and the white voter had no line, no children, and no job issues like life just doesn’t happen to them.

What I like about the New York Times is their balanced approached to nuanced issues. I mean, I know the Times is trying to say something, but I can’t quite figure out the subtext here. Solid solid journalism.

I built a new rig, probably more medium-powered than truly high-end(GTX 950 2GB, i5-4590 3.3Ghz, 8GB DDR3) last December, so I’ve been going through and catching up on games my laptop with an Nvidia 630m in it wasn’t ever able to crank out with all the pretty applied. This is both good and bad, as I DO get to play
