This is a fair point. I’m an entertainment/pop culture writer, so this is what I write about? But yes, this is not unique to Disney, nor is it the most egregious example of corporate greed.

I’m sure you’re aware but for anybody else who isn’t, they somehow made a GBA version of Kill.Switch. Sure, it was kind of a mess, but it’s also one of those games that I look at and go “I can’t believe this exists.”

I remember everyone going nuts over the cover mechanics in the first Gears of War and thinking “guys, Kill.Switch did this already.”

All those images of taking cover and popping shots reminds me....Kill.Switch was a damn fine and innovative game.

LA resident here. I used to buy the SoCal select annual passes for my daughters, my wife and me, up until about 2016. I remember first getting them in 2009- at the time, I believe they were $135. For a FULL YEAR (with a hefty number of blackout dates, but hey, we weren’t going on the weekend and dealing with those

Speaking of the manual, from the same NES cartridge, what *is* in the manual but few noticed... Duck Hunt was a 2-player game! The second controller could move the ducks around.

Long COVID can cause all sorts of rare conditions, and can cause serious cardiovascular problems like rapid heard rate and myocarditis. I have a family member who is just now seeing heart problems subside after contracting the disease in March 2020. So while we don’t know the cause of death, there are hints it was

No actually it’s not the same when there is evidence of it being covid related and no evidence that it’s vaccine related. Get your head out of your ass.

is that the point, or is the point sometimes we say shit we shouldn’t have? I said dumb shit before about gays and other races, there just wasn’t twitter around 30 years ago. There are a lot of rap songs from 25 years ago, that could get people in trouble.

This story is missing the really cool context: this episode all began with one Deviantart image by a Simpsons fan.

His massive success with “Gangsta’s Paradise,” I think, overshadowed the fact that “It Takes a Thief” was a top-notch debut album. Most of those dusty West-Coast-funk-influenced beats hold up just as well today. And every time I listen to “Ghetto Cartoon” I spend the next seven days repeating it to myself.

From has a track record of consistently producing some of the best DLC/expansions in the industry. Bordlerlands and AC... not so much.

As a now-inexperienced SF player (my last SF was Third Strike) I think I agree. This sounds like a special move that inexperienced or lesser players probably wouldn’t necessarily think to use, and when they do it would be less effective or strategic than if it were used by an experienced player. I think I agree with

So let me get this straight, when Master Chief twerks with Megan Thee Stallion it’s one of the greatest moments at TwitchCon, but when She-Hulk does it, it’s the lowest point in the MCU. Did I get that right?

Even if you're not even aware of Etika or have never heard of him, you don't just come to an article focused on a memorial and spout such a rude comment as that guy did. Gross.

I barely know who this person was, but even my tuned out mindset is aware of Etika. A memorial is not the place to say “who dis?”

Easier said than done!

That makes me want to make a parody RPG with only one stat called “Gud” that buffs everything, and you level it up with “Gits”.

Circa 1997. Note that max tac is also considered a pretty serious threat, and comparatively they run a cool 9 reflexes 8(10) body. Terrasque is definitely an apt comparison. An insurmountable mountain for anyone other than the most hardened endgame players.

So he’s actually a known entity in the table-top game?

Cool.

Dungeons and Dragons has this thing called the Tarrasque, a big dragon-like monster that is nigh-unkillable and likely to kill everybody and everything it encounters.
