The idea of "an interesting two-player co-op driving mode via the Wii U gamepad" in NFS:MWU still makes me want a Wii U version of Surgeon Simulator in which one person performs surgery on the gamepad, the other drives the ambulance to the hospital while controlling the hands on the steering wheel rather than the

I have to admit, I feel for Nintendo a bit. If the Wii U didn't have the focus on the tablet and was just a console comparable to XB1 or PS4, there'd be hardly any complaint against the game. Nintendo's brought most of the big franchises back to their roots (e.g. Donkey Kong Country returns, A Link Between Worlds,

No worries: EU gets it Dec. 6th. I think the date may have been known for a while, so that's why the NA date is news.

As much as I loved Picross 3D, I'll take all the Picross I can get.

I had absolutely no idea there was a teaser/trailer for it; I thought we only had a piece of concept art.

So basically, what you're saying is...Shenmue remake coming to Vita.

Yes. I think, of everything in every RPG this gen, the field theme in Ni no Kuni is what brought me back to playing SNES RPGs as a kid

Blue Stinger! I played it one time before my scratched disc eternally stopped working, but what a time it was.

I've seen VHS effect tuts before, but mostly for things like the tracking lines and such. I've never made anything quite like this, but judging from how powerful AE can be I'm sure it could be done. It'll probably take a good amount of experimenting with random effects, but half the time that's what using AE means.

I think the narration is what really sells it, especially the bad jokes and things like calling the wind waker a magic wand. I can't really put my finger on what it is, but there's some kind of charming and naive "I'm-talking-to-you-as-if-video-games-are-still-new" tone. It's great.

It wouldn't be too hard to create something like this in After Effects, either through presets or a combination of blurs and color correction and other odd effects, perhaps layering the video a bit as well. It would take some tedious fiddling to get it just right, but it's definitely doable.

I wasn't expecting this, but by god I'm glad it happened.

How does Link do it, why does Link have this power? I have no idea, but the mechanic does make sense. Look at it. It's the type of 'cave painting come to life' deal you see in stuff where someone retells an ancient legend or myth—which I think The Hero of Time definitely qualifies as, at this point. It's also worth

The loading screen is always the same in Assassin's Creed. Your character stands, clad in the robes of his people, armed to the teeth and surrounded by empty space. A desaturated digital landscape fades into the distance and out of sight. You press the thumbstick forward, and he begins to jog. What's left to do but

So are these summons...the floats in Magic Kingdom's parade every night? Because I'm completely okay with that.

I can relate. I'm only 21 and I still feel that "damn kids these days" attitude, which is mildly concerning for the thought of when I get older. I've never been to a convention and I'd still like to at some point, if only for the ability to really blossom as a curmudgeon. And it would be an opportunity to tell so many

Back in my day, we didn't need fancy translations. Just a PS2, a controller, some artistic ability, and a nice helping of flesh seafood.

Thanks to the power of the cloud, they have now shed the need for cloud computing.

You can climb this game's version of the Eiffel Tower. Actually, it's a gym. Cool, huh?
