I was the airbag. The reason they are sawing on the hood is to get to the battery so they can disconnect it because either the fire was caused by electrical issues or now all the wires are exposed because the insulation is burned off and the isn't safe.

    I'm certainly planning to.

Amusing, Matt. Glad you are OK. I lived in SoCal for a while and generally, if the quake lasts longer than 30 seconds and you are thrown from the chair you are sitting on, that's the time to get up and go outside.

Mice photos of some crazy and interesting cars. Thanks.

You guys keep calling it beige but I disagree. It's just really ugly and has been for the last several iterations. It's not simply plain and boring but more like frikin' horrible looking. The grill, the headlights, the profile, AAAaaaaa! Why did I even click on this post?

Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in Midland, TX. Not because of the oil and all but because racecar! Chaparrals to be exact. They are all there, in working order, the museum is deserted and THEY ARE ABOUT THE COOLEST CARS ON THE PLANET!...sorry for shouting. It's right off I-20.

Let's not forget that just off SP3 heading south into Maranello you will see the Ferrari test track on the right and the factory immediately on the left. If you continue halfway to the center of town and take a right at the traffic circle it will take you to the Galleria Ferrari. Basically it's all you can do to avoid

In Gila Bend, AZ there are two great gate guards at the airport just off AZ-85. A pair of F-101 Voodoo fighters is always a site to see.

The Atomic cannon just north on Yuma, AZ at the entrance to the Army Proving Grounds. It is literally a few feet off of US HWY 95. You can't miss it.

    You got that right!

I'm not disappointed. I welcome the date change to Nov. I'm in north Texas and I agree that a June race would be brutal on everybody.

I absolutely agree. Congratulations on a deserving COTD.

I want to know when that car hits the salvage auction. I'll bid $10.

Excellent list with great style and uniqueness. Good job, guys.

    Those are Pacers.

Great story (a bit loong..) and spectacular ending.

    Because Caddy racecar. Me likey!

Yeah that's pretty cool. High five, man.

Awesome if not terrifying story. More, more, Jacob!

I would really like to see a front and rear 1/4 shot or two. It looks interesting but really needs a V12 or straight 8.
