The more relevant point is whether it's an American company or not and where are most of their employees working. American cars still have a majority of parts sourced from the US and most are built here. Many Japanese cars built here have a lot of Japanese content and the profits still go to Japan (the engineering is

Just because your cited Honda is assembled in the US doesn't mean all the parts are American. Half of those parts are from China as well. So your point is not supported by using this 'example'.

For a station wagon that is pretty awesome. I didn't know Caddy made anything like this. Rare indeed but probably not worth what this guy thinks it's worth.

Nice job, Ray. Yours was the best...and I'm not sucking up. I actually mean it. Now I'm just trying to figure out what car would have parted the Red Sea. We already know that God sent a Ferrari to lead them through the wilderness (cloud by day, pillar of fire by night). Following the Toyota theme you can see that they

Wow, nice effort. Airborne and shipborne fires are some of the most dangerous and scary events around. Combine the two and you've got all kinds of problems and threats to the lives of 5000 sailors (yeah, Marines too). Impressive response by a brave group of professionals. A-triple-F is a pilot's friend, indeed. Kudos

Brown is not a proper color for a car. It is the color of many undesirable things, is never good looking and, therefore, has no place on a car...ever.

I completely agree, Matt. Houston should have one of the orbiters.

    Yeah, those were cool too.

CP. It is truly a beautiful example of a beautiful car but it is 34 years old. Not old enough to be a true classic even though it has timeless Ferrari styling. I didn't know that they built some 308s out of fiberglass. I'm almost suspect of that fact considering the ridiculous 'corvette expert' tales you always hear

Fiber optics for interior turn signal indicators.

    Exhibit B

I know I'm always harping on this but it's styling. It seems like it's forever lost. I'm not saying we need to bring back the old cars but there just is no style these days.

    I declare that officially awesome.

Have you been to Texas and driven the roads? I've driven in the midwest and north east and I wouldn't call those roads. I can't remember when I last saw a pot hole on an interstate or farm road in TX. The roads are plenty safe and can handle an 85 mph speed limit.

There are plenty of roads in TX that can handle an 85 mph speed limit. Most of the roads I drive on can (I won't tell you how I know this).

Oh I dig it because it is dig-able. Why is it good looking? Because racecar!

I nominate 2011. The majority of cars currently in production are underpowered, FWD, look-a-like crap cars with dorky, swoopy headlights and bucktoothed grills rolled into an anime aesthetic. You can't buy a decent family car for anything, SUVs roam the countryside endangering and consuming everything around, and real

"but there's no reversing course here without some kind of serious change in ownership."

Oh I laughed after reading this. Very well done Redbadge and the unnamed aborigine family.

    Nice. Thank you.
