Caps shield is not made out of adamantium. More like an alloy out of adamantium and vibranium that hasnt been able to be replicated. Adamantium is super strong but, with the vibranium it absorbs/reflects the energy of blows. Hence cap wasnt crushed under his shield from thors hammer.

Well, If its winter and you need to heat your house, incandescent bulbs are the most efficient bulbs you can buy. Any energy not converted to light is "lost" as heat and warms your home.
