I'm glad I got the PS3 version this time around. I usually only buy exclusives on PS3 and I buy multi-plat games on 360. But after LA Noir ran so much better on my PS3 than it did on 360, and the fact that GTA was supposedly developed on PS3 and ported to 360 - I took a gamble and got it on PS3. No problems at all

This article is perfect timing. I have been missing my Dreamcast lately, so the other day I got it back out and plugged it up to my old VGA monitor, it's on the desk right next to my gaming PC. I've been enjoying Shenmue again ever since (until GTA 5 released anyway..) Good Times!

Thanks, just looked it up. Not 144hz but still a very nice monitor. 2ms can hold it's own just fine with 1ms if you ask me, and at $179 its a nice deal.

Mine came with a dual link dvi cable in the box, so never had a problem there.

What 2D version? Every 144hz Asus monitor listed right now is 3D capable. And the VG248QE is the only one listed with 1 ms response time.

I remember it like it was a few hours ago. I rented, played and failed. So I recruited my best friend as player 2. We failed. We tried all night, eventually beating levels starting to feel like we had a chance; our hopes lifted a bit.

I too would like to chime in and say I bought the ASUS VG248-QE monitor a few months ago. It was the most bang for my buck I have ever gotten out of a monitor purchase. This thing is amazing - strike that: It's a beast.

I too am an owner of the ASUS. I love this monitor. I have made use of the crosshair a few times in games to either replace or add a crosshair. works well. I can also confirm that the crosshair works perfect in 3D without ghosting like the in-game crosshairs do, just as it is advertised. Just too bad I never actually

I am using the ASUS VG248QE right now. In portrait mode. Confirmed.

Wow, seems the lighting in the new version makes a big difference. I can't wait to knock the dust off of my Wii U and play this game. I will play this game.. so hard.

Console Yourself ... LOL

Is it just me, or does 3rd set of photos (girl in red with black background) make it look like the TV had much better color contrast in comparison to the DVD/BD? The DVD version looks washed out a bit to me, while the TV looks a bit more vivid.

I actually started this game yesterday. I first discovered the series with Half-Life games on The Orange Box for 360 when it released, and it's still one of my all time favorite FPS games to this day.

There will be so many disappointed kids this Christmas. I'm not saying it's going to be an epic fail, but you know cheap or misinformed parents are going to buy this thing for their 3DS wanting kids...

So would it help if on Release day we all send them a nice email saying we would buy the game but only if they ask this "Jeremy" person to resign first?

So, can we just start calling the subway to see if they found my free... I mean "lost" Nintendo DS? What? you know you thought about it...

Don't worry, you made a nice decision. Sure there are newer consoles on the way, but we already know they are not backward compatible. The PS3 has some fantastic exclusive titles, as well as a pretty nice collection of digital titles, and some great classic titles from PS1 and PS2.

Rats, I didn't think of that. You are correct.

This is good news, regarding the old titles. I realize that this whole thing is probably only happening because of some new DRM on XBONE or PS4, but now they go and remove them from old game too? Damn. I trolled them when they started doing this in a rage. Now that they are removing these codes, there are a few games

Actually, Sony has never released a proprietary lockout for Hard Drives in Playstation Consoles. I have taken old PC and Laptop HDD's and used then on Both my PS2 and PS3, never had a problem.
