Except, until they’re paid off, they’re probably technically owned by a bank or other financial institution.

This is SO SO WRONG, it’s preposterous. I understand that these mental shorthands may make it easier for people to more fully grasp their situation, but coming at it from an entirely wrong angle just confuses people. Yes, you OWN all of those things, and no, in no case does the BANK “buy the car and let you drive it”…
Do people really taste that much of a difference?
Well, if you never venture beyond Wal-Mart, that’s what you’re going to get.
I agree with you, at least a little. Cheap laptops with low-res screens have their place. But when there are laptops (like Chromebooks and some others mentioned in the Laptop article) in the $300-400 range with full HD, maybe it is a compromise people don’t have to make.
It’s had all this on Android as well. This is more an interface design change, that’s all.
What hump? :)
How they relate to people in our vicinity. If someone says something rude or mocks someone at a nearby table or that we see while walking - it makes me really worry about any future with them. I once went on a date with a girl who was doing, what I could only assume she thought was witty commentary on the people…
If that’s all you want from your recipe tool, then that’s fine! There’s nothing wrong with that. :)
This is a great example of absolute vs relative risk. Sure, using a bagged salad might be considerably higher in risk than preparing salad yourself, but the risk is increasing from almost non existent to a level of near non existence slightly higher than the previous level of near non existence.
I’d rather have Listeria or E. Coli than spend 10 minutes a day washing and chopping lettuce. My laziness will be the death of me.
That only really works as a solution if you live somewhere that offers a large variety of produce, particularly leafy greens, outside of a bag. Unless you’re looking for a head of iceberg lettuce, I don’t think it’s as common as people want to believe it is.
that’s a lot of over kill. you don’t need to replace that cover every month. maybe once a year, maybe. and that’s from the guy who sold me my mattress
That’s the same reason I don’t use mine either. Picky, picky and even with the receipts and the correct authorizations, they delay and shuffle their feet until the year has come to a close and then it’s, “oops, you lose your money” and they laugh all the way to their profit line. Sometimes, the before tax amounts just…
Nope and I will never use a FSA as they get to steal money out of it at the end of the fiscal year. I use a HSA where every dollar put in is mine forever and nobody other than me can use or touch the money inside it.
FSA’s are great for people (especially parents!) but I stopped investing in mine. My first year of using it I had no problems. It paid for my LASIK surgery and that was worth every single penny.
To answer your other question, Amazon locks bootloaders, but people tend to get root on the kindle fires eventually. The good news, though, is that on the newer Fire tablets (including the $35/50 one) you can install Google PLay Services and the Google Play Store so you don’t have to deal with Amazon’s shitty app…

Not only that but so far external hard drives on Xbox One have been faster than the internal, and theoretically USB 3.0 runs at the same speed as SATA 3. So with an appropriate enclosure you could add an SSD to your Xbox and not lose your existing internal storage and still have it run faster.
The driver drives. That is all.
