I think they've let the money go to their heads a bit, Its still a great show, but I like the US version better because its all crazy, usually pointless challenges, and the cars are usually more interesting because they're old beaters, like when the took minivans up the rubicon or something like that. The phaeton has always been the car I recommend to my rich friends looking for a luxury car but who don't want to be identified as rich.
