Well, I’ve been around these trucks literally my entire life, I’ve owned 4 different 12 valves. We call them 12v because they are 12v, as opposed to “24v” or “commonrails”. If I were to speak to someone who wasn’t into diesels, I would refer to it as a “Dodge Diesel” or a “12v Cummins”.

Its a lot faster to say, “I was working on my 12 valve” than it is to say, “Yeah, I was working on my 93 5.9 6bt.”

Beyond that, someone who bought an FRS that wasn’t a BRZ.

I think a disclaimer need be added. It seems the ones who own old jeeps are cool, and the ones who own anything 2002 or up or so are dicks. When jeeps started being urban onroaders, things changed.
