As a dumb American who only watches the World Cups, Lavelle looked like the best player on the pitch in the first half. She was everywhere doing every thing. I was really bummed to see her go down.

Lavelle let go a few screamers in the first half. One stunned an English player right in the face, or else it would have been a fantastic goal.

Heath and Press are both better and we know they can play a full 90. It would be awesome to have both Rapinoe and Lloyd in reserve if we need a goal late. Much more concerned about Lavelle’s hamstring injury. She had some great sequences before she went down.

We have a deduction for student loan interest, but it is $2500 and only if you make under a certain amount. In other words it’s shit pittance. 

This sounds real nice and all, speaking as someone who has student debt, but does it answer how we are going to lower college costs in the first place?

Hell, I’d be thrilled to have just the interest that has accumulated removed. The government is making an absolute killing on me and my 7.9% interest on grad loans. I’m happy to pay what I borrowed, but any interest on federally funded education loans is highway robbery.

I think it is hard to blame companies for not wanting to send their female employees to Georgia. What if, god forbid, one of their pregnant employees miscarries, and these dolts refuse to do an abortion because the fetus “might still be viable”? Or their employee gets charged with murder for miscarrying? Gets raped…

I was 18. We had started the decade with Nirvana and ended with commercial pop and horrible rock music like Matchbox 20. I will never look back fondly on this time of music history. Ever.
