Actually, booze in London is cheaper than in New York. Shopping for groceries is also cheaper, and you can actually eat decently at gastropubs and pay less than you would at a lot of joints in NYC. Housing, of course, is expensive, and their salaries are in general lower than ours.

I’ve been working in midtown for almost 10 years and am so glad to say that I have never had to work for a company based in Times Square. NYC is stressful enough without having to deal with that nonsense on a daily basis.
