My big project this year was re-reading Harry Potter, one chapter a night before bed. It took 199 days to finish the entire series. I started January 1st and ended on July 18th.

And it's not even finished!

Thank you. These people are fucking nuts. Yeah, it "could be" anything—hey, maybe ghosts are possessing her body—but it sure as hell looks like a heroin nod. Also, the way the child is reacting makes it obvious she's used to caring for her mother in a strung out state, and that is beyond sad.

I'm an RN with more experience with this than I often care to recall. This isn't a seizure, it isn't a diabetic low or high, it's a strung-out asshole.

I've worked with a lot of heroin cases and opiated behavior like this are pretty unmistakable. If you're a mom with a drug abuse problem, taking the bus right after shooting up isn't at all uncommon. I'm kind of shocked people are making such a big deal of this, not because it isn't sad or difficult to watch, but…

I've worked with people with seizure disorders for about four years now, and I doesn't look like any seizure I've seen. Then again, I don't know this woman, and when it comes to my clients other factors are at play as well.

As someone who lives downtown in a huge city and takes public transport I can tell you that this certainly looks like a heroin high and that it is most likely not some other condition.

I remember reading Little Fuzzy the first time as about 9 and mentioning it to my college age sister. She immediately sat me down to watch The Caine Mutiny. After that, a lot of classic "grown-up" films were a lot more interesting to me.

Really? I found the opposite true for me. I enjoyed them somewhat in my teens, but now as I work through them again I find that I don't think I really had my head in the series to begin with. I have a whole new appreciation for them. Perhaps I can try Thomas Covenant again and have better luck..

This is another great series. Kind of a cliched story but great characters. Could get kind of romancey but I remember devouring them. Her other series, Exiles is also great but that Id recommend at any age.
