Actually, unless you are rich and have a ton of deductions, itemizing doesn’t work. The standard deduction is almost always better. At least in the USA :(

I don’t know anyone who drives for Uber, but the one Uber driver I asked said he didn’t made very much at all. We do live in a fairly small place though and most trips would be at most 25-35 miles if you needed to go to a nearby city. Within town no more than 10 miles
