GOW3 was still very much a story of revenge and unbridled anger.

Yep. The hand pull back part of the trailer was the key part to me. They obviously put that there for a reason and you have to think it was to show that this is a different Kratos. A kratos that realizes he made some massive mistakes in the past and wants to change.

GOW1 and 2 are two of my favorite games ever. I loved their over the top execution. That said, I am excited for this and do hope it’s more of a Last of Us type execution on the road to redemption. I can only assume that he will sacrifice his life to save his sons at the end, which would be a fitting send off.
