I don’t get the contemporary hate for the SC. Sure, it was terrible value new, but now, they’re a cheap, V8, RWD convertible Toyota. That sounds better than a Solara to me.

Meh. They aren’t bad. Conservative designs are popular with many people. Not my cup of tea, but nothing wrong with it in cars.
I happen to think that the Q50 looks quite nice on the outside. The inside though? The interior trappings fall far short of its price point.
As someone who makes the right-turn-on-red onto a 55MPH hwy on which people routinely drive 70, as Jose described, a 10 sec 0-60 is unacceptable. As we’ve been seeing, the electrification of cars is reducing avg 0-60 times. Even 8 sec 0-60 is getting uncompetitive. Personally, I don’t want to be the one holding up a…
Only on public roads. If you are taking your pickup across your farm to haul hay, you are not required to wear a seatbelt.
For clarity, Buttonville is a municipal airport and is scheduled to close by 2023 or thereabouts but it’s actually one of the busiest airports, measured by air traffic, in Canada. At one point about 10 years ago it ranked the 7th busiest airport with only internationals in major cities handling more volume. It has a…
That is the dumbest thing I have read in quite some time. For one. My car is my property and I have the right not to wear the seatbelt. A second issue is I have a porta-cath in my chest that makes it impossible no matter what attachment being used to have a shoulder belt across my chest. If I was to be involved in an…
though they have similar systems in London and Stockholm
Another money grab by the snake-oil salesmen who get elected.
This should probably kick in at around 10mph. All tech experiences bugs, and it could be tragic if that prevented tons of metal etc from moving, resulting in the loss of life.
Or shot.
You wanna get your a$$ kicked? Because this is how you get your a$$ kicked.
Hey, what’s a guy gotta do to get shot in the face around here??
Enough that it would be an inconvenience and if you can’t see that it would be an inconvenience in these types of situations you’re just being obtuse.
I’d love this when I’m backing my car out of the garage to get it out of the way of something I’m working on, or when I move it from the driveway to the garage, or when I’m moving it to get another car out, or doing one of the million other things that don’t really require a seat belt.
Detroit wouldnt be able to pay any settlement.
Does it really matter? He was braking. Yes, he was turning, but that is not the only reason someone would be braking - there could have been a child/animal etc in the road in front that the other driver couldn’t see. He was hit by a vehicle at double the limit, a vehicle that also failed accident avoidance 101 -…
the driver of the accord wasnt using his indicators. Not that it makes it alright to flew through a neighborhood like that.
People speed because the road is wide open with few parked cars or other sight blockers.
To be fair this is also a non attentive speeding truck so speed bumps would be a mild inconvenience.
