Keep in mind that was an underclocked card. I have no doubt that if it was at the standard clock speed, or worse still, overclocked, it would've burnt out sooner.

You're probably right. I switched over from a mechanical keyboard to a membrane type almost 15 years ago, before I started heavily using the computer.
