She shut the blog down. I think she had other stuff going on, and it was too much work maybe. The site itself is still up and you can go through the archives but there are no new posts and the Facebook page is gone. I always looked forward to whatever whimsical fuckery she could dig up. I suppose I could go looking

When I got married I wore a pair of her art deco style earrings and one of her Sherman brooches too. It kind of makes me sad that most of the jewelry people buy now is shitty Forever 21 type stuff that breaks after a few wears. I've got her stuff wrapped up and hidden in my closet because I'll probably never own

So my grandmother gave me a shit ton of her jewelry to sell in my Etsy shop, including some Sherman jewelry sets (it's really amazing stuff from the 1940's-50's, top of the line for Canadian costume jewelry...swarovski crystals etc.). It fetches a good price, upwards of $200 for a demi parure set like the three she

I'm an East Coast girl. I did live in Burlington for a year though.

If you're willing to let me pick your brain about photography, I'd be grateful. I have to warn you though, you have to understand that I know NOTHING about photography. Before I did the big switch over, I was using my iPhone, which got decent pictures, but not anywhere near what my camera is doing for me now. That

I'll keep my eye out for it.

I have shots of them on the bust form, but it's against the wood wall I'm still unsure about so I don't have them as the primary photo. What do you think of the wood?

Thanks! Sometime this summer I am doing a photo shoot with a photographer friend and her regular model. I'm going to try to get as many items in the shots as I can fit in my car for the drive (she lives a little ways away). I'm so excited about it because one thing I did notice is that not many vintage accessory

Thank you. Coming from someone with your background, saying it has improved means a lot. I had mixed feelings about the backgrounds, so I ordered these (let me know if the link doesn't work);

Thank you!

Crowd sourcing for some constructive criticism...

I didn't get any until the very last week, and it was right on my scar from an appendectomy. Strangely enough, I ended up with two or three more below my belly button about a week after I had the baby. They weren't there until then.

What is this?

I made it quite clear to everyone, including my own mother who I love dearly, that no one besides my husband, the doctor and the nurse would be in the room. Bad enough I had my baby at a teaching hospital so I dealt with residents and student nurses.

Not to come off as spammy or anything but I often do give aways and such for Facebook fans. There's a button on the shop page or you can visit the Facebook page itself if you like. You might be able to get the gloves, job or not. (I totally understand if you don't want to, just thought I would throw it out there). http

I plan on doing that in the near future. I want to show a split shot of a model and the item as the main photo, but the friend who would do it for me lives five hours away and it's super hard for me to get away for a trip with a two month old. Hopefully I can get down there during the summer to do the shots.

I feel like I am embarrassing myself but what is an F-stop setting?

I don't. I'm not nearly that advanced. I find my camera a little intimidating and I am still getting used to it. I'm using a piece of poster board and natural light from my windows with my camera on the close up setting.

I wish I could take credit for it, but it's my camera that does that.

Thanks!
