yeah, I don’t like over the top slap stick crude gross out humor and fan service usually gets in the way of my enjoyment of a show. I found myself surprised and enjoyed this - recommended. And I agree with you on Charlotte.

That comment invalidates your nerdy, lonely, outsiderly history, revokes the credentials to review the anime, and questions the accuracy of the second sentence of your review “and an anime that reminded me so much of my own high school existence, I often felt ill with remembered embarrassment.” Well, at the least I…
Well of course, how else are they going to get you to give them that $150,000 that you had no good use for anyway?
Here’s my car. I will agree with you. Not pretty. The bipipe is the only thing that saves it. The beauty covers allowed Audi to not worry about where to route the hoses and wires, so they didn’t. If it had been designed without covers, Audi would have spent more time tucking the hoses and wires away. It would have…
You’re right, it looks like they didn’t even try. But I’d still rather see metal than plastic. Maybe I’ll get a picture of my S4 - I immediately removed all the plastic covers. Not necessarily pretty but I still like it better than fake covers.
Welding really works. I would 100 times prefer to weld a nut onto a broken bolt before using an EZ-out. Even one that’s broken off a little below the surface. Yeah the weld could break but then you can still weld it again. Better weld this time since you’ve got practice! It’s the heat of the welding process that…
Reminds me of a Norwegian Elkhund.
This is Rin, a shy very very sweet delicate creature. She's not a top dog type but she is a Malamute so there's a limit to how far the sweet delicate part goes. I'm taking care of her so she 'kinda' counts for the purposes of this thread but she's not mine. I'm fostering her for the Illinois Alaskan Malamute Assoc h…
Volts and amps don't matter much as long as your heart isn't in that conductance pathway. You might get burns and such on your fingers. But I bet only a few milliamps through your heart would be enough to throw off it's normal electrical signals that keep your heart beating.
I think power and current will kill you if you want to die by having your meat roasted to medium rare like in an electric chair. In the non-penal world, I think what usually kills people is having a few milliamps of AC current throw their heart into ventricular fibrillation.
I had a dog that liked to eat paper (including money - lost a few hundred dollars to her over life. I'm a slow learner and I'm rich enough that I never felt the need to piece back together the bills when they came out the other end! Which I could have.).
That was the concussion.
I always go overboard in testing for live wires after learning the hard way. If the hair dryer stops when you pull the breaker; that's all fine and good for that particular circuit powering the hair dryer.
Definitely more common than 1 in 1000. Anytime it's a junction box that the ceiling light/fan is hooked up to or old house or has more wires in it than you'd expect. After getting surprised (shocked) more than once, I go overboard on testing for live circuits.
Kat, Calton, Tommy - perception works in odd ways. For example, I've noticed that I see a lot of whatever particular car has recently grabbed my attention recently. For example, after I bought a 1998 Subaru Forester, I have seen A LOT of Subaru Foresters on the road. I don't think 1998 Foresters existed in the US…
You're absolutely right. You have to try to learn as much as you can about whatever service you're buying. The internet has really helped.
Everyone is out to scam you, not just dentists and opthalmologists. From car mechanics to roofers to financial advisors, there will always be a certain percentage that want to make more money unethically. As a medical professional, I like to think doctors tend to do this less often than other professions but I know…
re: Dirty glasses.
hey thanks! Not that I post on Jalopnik - usually oppo.
haha, right? I think I know what you mean. wink wink.
