To me the problem with his “Superman” was that he wasn’t really a character. He was just a blank slate that other characters projected their philosophies on while he stared blankly at them. We don’t get much on his own opinions, likes, or even dislikes.

I think Man of Steel had a good first forty minutes. Cavill wasn’t necessarily bad as much as he was in a bad movie.

Personally at this point I think it’s just boring to watch. DC gives us basically the same news cycle every year. “Movie announced, movie dropped, actor leaving, actor not leaving”

Man, the ongoing DCEU trainwreck is hard to watch, particularly because some corners are so well-loved. It’s also easy to watch insofar as all the missteps are so hilariously self-inflicted by Warner Bros. 

DC has no idea what they’re doing and it’s sad considering the strength of the source material.
