Apparently before I was born, my Dad had this happen with a new car he bought. Went to do an oil change and could not get the filter off. Did the old “screw driver” trick and still nothing except mangling the filter canister. Had to have it towed to a mechanic who said they didn’t know how it was on so tight, but I

The “P” button my 2013 with 140k miles looks brand new, so I’m not sure what is going on there.

Yeah it is a weird thing to get excited about. “That car designed for fuel efficiency isn’t as fast as my <insert just about anything else>“. Alright pal, good for you.

Or if John Stamos was driving it.

I agree, although most contracts us lowly consumers sign with retailers or service providers, especially big corporations, are not favorable to us. I wouldn’t be surprised if the BMW lease contract says they have the ability to change terms like that.

Nope, I don’t want to be the next owner after this guy. Maybe $2k I’d take a chance.

My Forza Horizon garage has Ferrari 250 GTO. I even get to “drive” it.

Man there aren’t many more pathetic car face offs than a Ford Tempo vs. a Dodge Aries. Woah, mid-1980's car buyer, don’t get too excited to head to the lot.

What did this fire department do where they bought that truck, barely drove it, and now it is in the hands of some dealer who I assume is making the big bucks off it?

I knew a number of people in Upstate NY that made do with 2WD pickups.  They put decent tires on there and loaded the bed with weight.

I never had them in Upstate NY. All-seasons never had a problem except for a set of OEM Firestones that were just the worst tire I’ve ever had. They were bad in rain too. Replaced them and back in action.

I was about to complain about the V60 not having AWD available unless you go for the Cross Country, but now it looks like the regular V60 doesn’t even exist anymore.

It would seem like it is simple math. Judging from the fees demanded by Barrett Jackson, Mecum, etc. I can see why BaT is attractive to sellers when they only charge $99. These high end listings are saving tens of thousands of dollars, and the site has now that they’ve shown they can attract buyers with Ferrari

Doug is annoying, but he is slightly more bearable than the two Barret Jackson guys and Mecum Jr. who seems to be on TV any time I watch. Never mind some of the bidding assistants who seem to be hoping a producer is watching and wants to cast a “wacky guy”.

A HHR may be shitty, but dooming someone to have to buy a car in this market sucks.

I get the proposed use case for these as a “city car”, although for $9k I don’t know why I wouldn’t buy a Prius C or something else with a touch more utility and better gas mileage. Or an EV if you have a place to charge at night.

According to the website, Virginia has “more than 200 special plates” available.

I always liked this one, as a former NY resident.  Simple with Lady Liberty on there.

Well looks like the RAV4 Prime train will leave the station without me, although as I see more of them, I do think they’re ugly with the glossy black plastic trim around the wheels. Love the concept of a medium sized tall wagon with a PHEV, but with no tax credit it becomes a harder sell. No COVID and no car shortage,

Yeah I saw those guys in the Meadowlands with Bryan Adams! That was a kickass show!
