Yeah I see it here in VA too.  Not many farms close by, but “FARM USE” tags are driving around town running errands.

They seem to be untouchable at Burger World, so it may be hard to lure them away.

What else are you buying today that is in this kind of condition for $5500? I’m with the other comments - enough miles where the gremlins might be worked out, otherwise it is cheap enough to take a chance on for a weekend cruiser. I think they’re decent looking cars for 1980. I’m sure my Prius can outrun it though.

A wealthy Porsche nut who missed out on a manual Cayenne 12 years ago and sees this as something cool to have.

Basically you are looking for the person who thinks $55k is “throw away money” and thinks getting a manual Cayenne is a neat toy.

Right. I planned to buy a car in 2020. Then the pandemic happened and I wasn’t going to deal with car dealership employees and test drives. Now it isn’t worth dealing with the limited inventory and markups.

I don’t disagree that this is a bad idea, but at what point do you need to put the responsibility on the driver to not be an idiot?

The shipping thing is always interesting, but do you get to inspect the car before you finalize the sale?  I mean what if it arrives and it smells like something died inside?  Or there is a dent that you couldn’t see in the pictures?

I still love that model Forester.

Read some car forums. It isn’t uncommon for people to travel to get a good deal or find a specifically optioned/color of the car they want. Even before the shortage of cars, and it doesn’t need to be a niche car like a Taycan.

Yeah I actually see quite a few of them as well.

I don’t know why I am so drawn to these Saabs, but I am. Mileage is high, but it seems like it was cared for. You can probably spend $4500 on something far worse in this used car market. I’m going with NP.

Under 100k miles, looks to be in nice shape, decent on gas for $2900. Swallow your pride and drive this until the used car market straightens itself out.

How is a six figure toy for wealthy people a “moonshot”?

Lose the pockmark wheels and it is pretty good looking.

Did management demand you guys come up with 5 slideshows a day or something. Seems like every other thing I click on here is a fucking slideshow, and then I hit “Back” and don’t read it.

It’d be quite the leap of faith for someone looking to keep a vehicle for 10+ years to buy something from a brand new automaker.

Based on that website they have like 5 cars in stock, so I guess they need to squeeze every cent they can out of it.

This van is also $33k on their website.

But a lot of people just care about monthly payments.  It can be laden with crap and you overpay like crazy, but just make it $500 a month.
