So is this the video game equivalent of The Room?
I did not kill Chaos, I did naaahhhhht.

News like that always makes me feel bad for the developers (except in any cases the game clearly underperformed because it was bad/sloppy/etc). I thought GotG was kind of a surprise hit, delivered on a lot of the action, tones, and setpieces I’d want out of a comic book-adapted video game. I think it has room to grow…
I am suddenly pretty darn concerned about that supposed AC Infinity (games as a service) game. That line about selling items and all that… I’m envisioning a hellish world that transcends even obnoxious micro transactions.
I had never played a Hitman game until last year. From March to May, I finally dove in and marathoned Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman Contracts, Blood Money, Absolution, and then the new Hitman 1 & 2. Then finally, just this past week, I wrapped up a month of playing Hitman 3.
I decided to pick up the Iron Man bundle of the original. The timing seems poor with the new one coming but I think this will be fine for me to test it out and see how I enjoy PSVR (my only other VR experience being trying someone’s Oculus). If the appeal is high enough, maybe a few years down the line, I’ll become a…
There was a time when Ubisoft received some criticism for the annual releases of the older titles. That schedule slowed a bit after Syndicate and there’s still “too much”! I say that somewhat in jest though because even with the slower release schedule lately, there’s only been three years since the series’ foundation…
I should have watched more MadTV. That’s awesome!
That makes sense, and I think that’s probably spot on. “Kill” the Justice League will likely turn into just “subdue” when more of the plot, what Braniac is doing, etc., comes to light.
Ok, at 2:01 I realized why Amanda Waller looks so familiar. It’s clearly the same actress who voiced and provided the face/motion cap for Cere Junda in Jedi: Fallen Order. Like absolutely the same face, so now my brain is going to think there’s a bizarre cross-over going on here lol.
My only other thought is this. I’ve …
There’s no need to be a “well akshually” snob. Or I would suggest you understand the meaning of the word “seems”. It’s not the same as “is”, I assure you. You’re still talking about a somewhat rare occurrence. That’s the point. I also don’t follow any Nintendo games of any kind, so personally, those are always going…
I know nothing about Fallout, but a little wikipedia research seems to say, yes, announced at E3 2015, released in Fall 2015. So that’s another rare example.
I’m not really a Nintendo person anymore, outside of Zelda, and the only Metroid games I’ve played are Super and Fusion, so this one passed by me. Thanks for mentioning it though, so that’s at least another example.
I think I agree. It’s a nice change of pace. Maybe we’ll see more of it. I know for a lot of the big AAA studios, there’s a whole industry in of itself of hype, marketing, etc., etc. so they can’t really do that, but for the medium-sized or smaller guys, this could be good.
This is such a weird one. I’m so used to games being announced and automatically having that assumption that it’s at least a year and a half away, then probably more because of delays. To have a game that was literally just announced months ago be releasing this soon seems unheard of.
I feel like the lack of the main villain’s presence is not new to this entry in particular, but definitely more damning when you have Gus Fring in that role, for sure. I’ve only played FC3 and FC4, but it was something I particularly noted when it came to 4. Compared to Vaas, Pagan Min was not seen more than a handful…
I thought the same, but after playing them all again last year, the only one that really felt dated to me was the first, GTA III. Vice City maybe a bit. I guess it’s a matter of personal opinion. I think it also depends on what contemporary games we compare them to. Like I haven’t even played V in a long, long time,…
So, just to understand this, if I were to start playing Destiny 2 today, there’d basically be no story, and almost no planets to explore? (not that the first game was like “open-world” in the usual sense, but still). That just seems odd. I get that the story is not the most important thing in the long life of the…
I’m assuming this applies to other regions, because in the US, it’s been like this way for months now. The last several purchases for downloadable content I’ve had to make on the PS3, the US store did not accept credit card payment. I had to add funds online first. Same for my Vita.
So again, I’m assuming maybe other…
Well, for every person who’s thrilled, ten more are pissed. Probably.
I’ll at least say this, the gameplay in that trailer looks more interesting than what they showcased at the debut. Still not particularly sold on the protagonist crew but maybe it’ll have some merit to it.
