This why my mom took out a life insurance policy on my sister and me when she cosigned for our student loans. Apparently, SallieMae does this type of shit all the time. There are people all over the country paying for their dead relatives' student loans. It's fucking awful.

I sort of understand this stance, but if that was the case why didn't they start leaving messages asking for the mother rather than the deceased? It's some next-level idiocy blended with cruelty to leave a message EVERY DAY with a grieving family for someone you've been notified is dead.
