It may be better in snowy conditions but would you use your bumper for a snow plow on a bmw? At speed? Behind those plastic bumpers on the JK was 3/16" C channel steel. It could handle a good pounding . Sometimes you need to get through snow banks and why shovel when you could just use the skinny pedal

Have you ever driven a Wrangler in the snow? If not, your opinion is meaningless. Also, only certain Wranglers come with mud tires. And either way, put a foot of snow on the ground and I guarantee the Jeep makes it further than the glorified hatchback that is the X3.

Thanks for bring the commentary up to the level of YouTube. Jalopnik has been awaiting a savior like you.

I can’t imagine how EVERYONE is not driving around in a wrangler. The mileage is passable, the ride quality is fine if you’re not that princess who had the issue with the pea, it’s small, capable and great to daily. The modular build style means that one vehicle fits every role, year round. The roof and doors come off

It feels like you’re hopping into the adult version of a Power Wheels. You can drop the top when you want, drive through feet of snow if you decide to, and I would argue it’s the vehicle that gives you the most freedom to do what you want.

I want a Wrangler and a Porsche 911, two cars I thought I’d never like enough to own. I’ve gotta stop reading Jalopnik, this is all your fault, guys!

Because (and i acknowledge this is a subjective, even ephemeral point) they are a shit-tonne of fun to drive, even around the mall.

Is there a large group of people who don’t believe the Allies won WWII, or just you?

The key to winning a war is this - are you pushing people back to their home or their backs to the wall?

I love it “I’ve never owned a jeep, they are built poorly”

except if you get in a accident or happen to roll the new Wrangler you’ll actually survive.

From what I’ve been lead to believe by everyone in the world, the Wrangler is like one of two things FCA makes (the Viper being the other) that is actually a quality item.

I dont know about the xxx part, but MOLLE or Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment is a standardized webbing based attachment system for soft goods like bags and backs.

I’m guessing the pickup variant is geared more towards the Jeep Life than Truck Life. You can have a 4 person jeep, with a bed to store a RTT, cooler, drawers, etc. You can also still get a roof rack on the hard top and pull a small overland trailer if you’d like. I doubt Jeep think many people are gonna pull a 20'

It’s a Wrangler first, pickup second. I don’t see the problem. Suspension that can articulate like a Wrangler makes it have relatively low towing and payload limits. I’d honestly be surprised if the new Wrangler pickup can tow 6,500 lbs, it’s a huge jump over the JKU even that is limited to 3,500 towing and 1K

The towing capacity and payload have already been leaked, and they’re nowhere near as bad as some speculated - 6,500lbs towing and 1,400lbs payload - which shouldn’t be a surprise given the differences in chassis and axles we learned about from the CAD leak.

I saw one of these yesterday and good lord, they are even worse with age. It’s like an open jar of cheez whiz. Some cars get better but this one just causes botulism.

R33 is best GTR...

the best era? no. not yet.
