Fellow old but given the overall normalization of tattoos and even full sleeves; ink above the collarbone is kind of the last stage of ‘tattoos as rebellion’ IMO. Not as hardcore as major face ink but, you know, adjacent.

To be fair, mens suits really don’t lend themselves to a lot of dynamism; especially if the jacket is fitted especially tight/narrow which can limit range of motion.
I had such a hate for Nirvana and all things grunge as a wee En Fuego; partly because I was deeply allergic to HS groupthink but mostly because my favorite hip-hop/rap/R&B/techno station changed format without warning to alternative/grunge and I was pissed.

I’d call it a tie between Diddy and Jay as far as being the earliest and most visible rappers who really parlayed their rap careers into brands but I’d be remiss to not mention Russell Simmons who I’d credit with really popularizing the idea of branding and diversification into the hip-hop mainstream.
I’m not a fan of One (The MJ Cirque show); it felt overstuffed and overstaged with the usual issues of Cirque’s “Quebecois” sensibilities being even more noticeable given that it’s an iconic American artist being viewed through that lens (See also the now shuttered Elvis Cirque show) as well as the company’s apparent…
