I'm not in a union. I just find it pointless to bloviate about how bad unions are, then take a job with unions, and then hear people online put forth the same tired talking points when no one is forced to take a job that is union.

No, I am not. You are clearly a horrible person, and I am 100% serious.

Yes.

That was some whack-ass trolling, son.

I don't know its hard to tell with all the other BS that you are spewing.

You can't be for real. Illuminati Lizard people? Really?

Uh...

Unions are not compulsory, he doesn't have to join the union but he has to pay the dues because he is benefiting from the union being there. Without the union he wouldn't be making the decent wage that he is.

Apparently in Jodark's world, any time you are asked to do anything you don't like, it's mega-Atlas-Shrugged-oppression.

At it's simplest, a union house is simply another rule that a company has. There are all kinds of regulations when you work for a company. Why should management be the only one allowed to make rules? Why shouldn't labor have a say?

I believe they call that concept 'skin in the game', another phrase conservatives are quite fond of.

Your talking points are old. Like, Thatcher old. Try harder.

I know in the AYN RAND FAPPING APPROVED FREE MARKET world every day is Faturday, and life is beautiful, but in the real world, he's getting paid well, and has protections that he wouldn't have otherwise.

F-C is union. Part and parcel. Suck it up,

The Free Market, in which all businesses operate, says if you don't like where you work, you can go work somewhere else.

Hence, he can go work somewhere else.

He chooses not to, and work for a union.

He's more than welcome to go sling burgers at BK for 7.75 an hour with no real employee protections.

He chose a job

Oh, I'm all for unions. Corporations have their lawyers, lobbyists, politicians working on their behalf to suppress benefits, wages, etc., so it's only fair the people actually *creating* the wealth for the wealthy have people working on their behalf as well. I was just pointing out how Joe's stance seemed to change.

The biggest Teabaggers I know are all married to teachers. Must be nice to have that cushy public union paycheck and health insurance to fall back on when your bootstrap-pulling doesn't work out.

I'll just leave this here.

if youre actually in the boondocks its incredibly likely that the majority of people working those shitty jobs receive tons of subsidies. so no they dont make a living wage

The small government, neo-con is indeed a treasured species. Most often of the chicken hawk variety.

You have a choice. Free Market says you can get a job somewhere else.

Enjoy.

$10/hour is not a decent wage f0r a decent job.
