Except PC games are usually better than the console versions even if they're better played with a controller. Also as has been discussed an Xbox 360 controller has become the default PC controller so if you buy one you can use it on a PC and a 360.

The director of IV says they're trying to bring back stealth more in this game. For example he said you will lose health much faster if you're in open conflict to encourage stealthy tactics.
