I think a stealth game in the vein of Splinter Cell Conviction where it's truly stealth action, not just stealth makes complete sense for James Bond. That's really more true to the character than the straight up shooters.

@Clockwork_Zombie: I don't think that's the most accurate definition out there. A parody is not necessarily meant to ridicule the thing it is imitating. It can do that but it does not always. It is merely a humorous imitation of something.
@Clockwork_Zombie: It's not taking offense at the game, just using it for a parody.
@Ash Paulsen: I always thought that was a clever twist in the game, that if you knew the answer to a puzzle you could get to the end in a few minutes. You had to go through a full length game to figure out the answer to that puzzle though.
@d20Dark: I just ordered this game but haven't received it yet. Why is the stat tracking website important to it?
@Arnheim: It should have said HaloWars.com is going dark though. Not Halo Wars itself
@RockyRan: We also need more lossless audio in games. I've gotten used to it on Blu-ray and the sound effects in games sound kind of lame in comparison.
@RockyRan: But we're still using the same consoles. It takes up extra processing power to display the game at an increased resolution and the PC is the only system with more processing power since 2005/2006. You'd have to sacrifice something else unless you are making a simple downloadable game or unless you pulled…
@bakagaijin: Really the inclusion of Black Ops at all is. It's there because it's popular not because it's one of the best games of the year. Although I like Halo much better than COD I would have to concede the same thing about it. These games may be great refinements of their series' formula's, not that they…
@TylDurden: I've played about the first hour of forgotten sands and thought it was pretty lame, and I loved all 3 sands of time games and like 2008 quite a bit too. The game is just too hand-holding. The camera always points in the direction of the next object you have to jump too eliminating any puzzle solving…
@Hongo: Warrior Within is one of my favorite games.
@[ZTF]The Power: I disagree. I can think of games like Shadow of the Colossus or Metal Gear Solid 3 that don't have happy endings. Or even the Call of Cthulhu game which ends with *spoiler warning* the character committing suicide. The first two are some of my favorite games, and one of the reasons is that they…
@kenpojujitsu3: I agree, people really need to stop saying "irregardless." Isn't it easier to say "regardless" anyway, less letters.
@rich8606: perhaps in another context, I think anyone can see that a zombie killing mode isn't serious.
@Raso719: There are a lot of games that stray from the path that don't sell well, but now that I think about it, this is far less true within the FPS genre. For example Bioshock sold well as did other FPS that had some new twists like Borderlands, Left 4 Dead. Not new but there are sub-genre tactical shooters like…
@Raso719: You're claiming an entire genre has as little diversity as the Dynasty Warriors series? FPS is a popular genre with a lot of companies trying to cash in that do make very derivative boring FPS's, most of which don't sell that well. But among the good one's there is variety. In particular there is more…
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
@zelfmoordkonijn: It's one of those things with diminishing returns where 30 fps is perfectly sufficient for most games but for games that move lightning fast like ninja gaiden or burnout, 60 fps is warranted.
@ChewyChavezIII: No, SMB2 may be hard, but not that hard. This I'm assuming is a ROM hack. Made by a particularly devious person.
@Manly McBeeferton: It's Assassin's Creed II 2
