I had the Terrordrome! That thing was kickass. Best Christmas morning ever.

If I've got to be stuck in the apocalypse this is how I would want to dress.
I couldn't have put it better myself. Now there was a lot I liked about the way he brought back The Master; I maintain Utopia was one of the great wham episodes of Dr Who, in no small part due to Derek Jacobi, but then turning around and making the Master and Doctor victims of a sort cheapened the characters I…
I know what you mean. I'm 36; last week felt like 30. I wanna stop thinking about this now.
I rather enjoy Datak's villainy, but after the shit he pulled tonight I enjoyed the hell out seeing Irisa kicking him in the face.
I'd have taken that course, though my thing was Creative writing and Lit (which didn't get me terribly far, but does come in handy for posting witty comments here from time to time).
Amazing really. So much like real life.
Well I recently re-read Neuromancer, and it's been ages since I read Mona Lisa. I reckon I'll get onto Count Zero and then re-read Mona Lisa Overdrive. I'll track down Burning Chrome one of these days.
A golden era if ever there was one!
Such win! Based on that description you just gave I shall track it down. well done : )
I loved the dynamic between Anne and Sax, Woman and Man, Red and Green; the conflict and eventual resolution between these two was a nice microcosm of the greater themes and conflicts of the series.
I'm a bit all over the place with Gibson ; )
This sounds fantastic, I'll pick it up when I get a chance. I never really bought into RTD's explanation of why The Master is the way he is; I've seen most of classic Who from Pertwee to McGann, and I don't recall anything about drums or anything such from that time.
Apparently I was wrong, 2312 isn't set in the same world as the Mars books, but rather an alternative future, so to speak. What i found interesting about 2312 is it seemed to be a kind of indicator to how I imagined something like Bank's Culture may come about (not sure if you're familiar with The Culture series or…
What amazed me is how he had the balls to kill off John, Frank and Arkady in the first book - characters I found really interesting. But that allowed other characters to come into focus. I didn't find Sax that interesting in the first book, but soon found myself rooting for him in Green and Blue Mars.
By the way, if you haven't picked it up yet, 2312 is well worth a read. It's set in the same future as the Mars books.
Nice! I think these books are due a re-reading soon.
I never saw Real Genius 1 : (
That's what I heard. I'd just kind of OD'd on the show: I came to it late, and watched the first four seasons in about two weeks, and loved it, completely loved it. The end of season four blew me away, and so I was really psyched for season five, which I found kind of disappointing. But the I heard Edward James Olmos…
That was a great movie.
