Nice observation, I reckon you're spot on.

James McCaffrey was one of the main reasons I got so invested in the Max Payne series; he brought so much humanity, humor and world weariness to a character who's essentially a noir archetype, and could have been a boring cliche in the wrong hands.

Has anyone played this yet? I've heard mixed things, but the concept seems interesting, and the game play looked quite similar to Tomb Raider, which I loved.

I tend not to get involved in a MP game unless I have a good hour or two to dedicate to it, and I'm in a calm mood. Having said that, it has to be said I have rage quit from time to time, to my shame. This is almost always due to what seems like a lot of kills against me, usually within a minute of spawning. Sadly I think Disney is all too aware of how EA operate, and I do hope I'm wrong, but it seems with going for a movie every year and now giving exclusive dev rights to EA they are well and truly in this to get as much profit as possible. While it's entirely possibly EA will turn out some good looking and even fun

I'd be very surprised if multiplayer heist missions aren't a big feature.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there will be a few other smallish towns, but basically LS is the games big city.

I loved San Fierro too. Who knows? Maybe it'll be a DLC down the line, though that may be a bit too ambitious for DLC.

I imagine it'll feature a lot of the stuff from IV, but much improved and with some new twists and features. My favorite part of the multiplayer for IV was simply the free roam, which I anticipate will be epic in V.

I was sold on this game after the GI article and trailer two. I truly cannot wait to lose myself in this game. I'm actually of glad they chose to delay it, for surely I would have lost the summer had it come out now.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.

Sure he's a bit worn down, but there's just something about Max Payne.

Possibly ; )

I hear you there; up until two weeks ago I was a test lead at the Montreal studio. I haven't found another job yet, but am trying to stay positive about things.

Also there was a good nine year gap between Max Payne 2 and Max Payne 3. I'm so glad James McCaffrey came back for it.

Hi Kotaku and its readers. I was one of the people who lost their jobs today. I'm beyond angry and in despair. What I'd like to say is that I worked with some fantastic people, and we did what we could, but to reflect some previous posters, EA MTL got shafted with the switch around to freemium games amongst other

Never mind, I overlooked the runner up bit.

Uhh, where is Dredd? That was, for my money, one of the very best SF films this year.
