They certainly could do it, but it would be an expensive undertaking. Most automotive connectors are not marine proof, so we are talking about replacing the entire wiring system, and every single switch in the cabin. You would also need new panels, since marine switches are larger and probably wont fit it the molded

This doesn't look like a car that meant to have its modules changed out by the end user, like your original idea. Who is going to need to change their cargo truck to an ambulance? I think this was meant to be configured at the factory.

You are right of course. A proper and just society would ask fintail to determine who should be allowed to own cars at all. It would keep rude, stupid, and non fintail people in cages, and poke them with forks.

Rather than thinking of it as a guy who is upset his car did not include an option he expected, think of it as his expansive, late model vehicle, left him stuck when it shouldn't have. Then his fury makes sense.
