Jalopnik writer views frequently align with Gawker media, it's not uncommon to see have car articles with inserts with regards to global warming, objectification of booth babes, and the evils of income inequality. I see fewer complaints about the effects of tax rates on global economy and automotive production. Also,

If Clarkson decided to write for Jalopnik, would he really be allowed to say whatever he wanted, given that he is not shy about his politics, and those run rather opposite of the general Gawker trend?

So if you aren't born loving cars, you can never be a gearhead? Isn't that, you know, racist?

Legal claims aside, I think TG could flourish if produced by netflix. No need to break for commercials there.

While I agree, I don't think TGUSA only failing is the lack of chemistry. There is something very US reality tv about the show, that feels too dumbed down and easily digestible that would still be objectionable even if the better trio was to host.

You can park a jumbo jet in there!

I'm guessing technology that makes it possible has not been around long enough yet. Storing that much data in todays world shouldn't be too difficult, but it would have been very expensive just 10 years ago.

While I'm pretty sure that the guys who said those words is secretly a sith lord, they are non the less wise words.

Well since we were wondering what Jeremy can do now, he can start the Jeremy Clarkson witch hunt show.

Yes, absolutely. My point is that TGUSA largely sucks, and the getting 3 really good hosts will result in a show that may suck slightly less, but it would still suck.

I'm not defending the TGUSA hosts, but there were greater problem with the show than just them. The whole thing had a very US reality tv feel, with the constant showing of the exact same scenes

Well thats certainly better than the "VTEC just kick in yo! show"

I think its fair to say that mandatory voting will turn election into an even greater popularity contest than it is now. The apathetic voters will not become less apathetic, so they are unlikely to take their duties seriously. If forced to vote they will make their decision on some completely arbitrary criteria. Given

I don't think a digital voting and tallying system is a particularly good idea.

Or maybe vehicle miles traveled per capita is not growing at its previous rate because while the economy starting to recover, it is not yet booming in the minds of most people. Lets see what happens once people start feeling more flushed.

If I understand the program correctly (which I may well not) it will give people the option of choosing the most reasonable rate available to them, whatever that may be. It's basically the same thing as calling around for the best rate, which is something that people who are not financially savvy do not do. Some

Beard Fightmaster might be the single best name I've heard in 2015.

Perhaps Hennessey current media operation is more polished, but it certainly was not just a few years ago. They certainly did much worse than a few ill thought jokes.

While I agree with you that long commutes are terrible, you have to weigh that against the fact that a long commute allows them to get a better job (sometimes better means any). When presented with a choice of two absolutely identical jobs with different commute distances most people would pick the one with the
