A diesel two stroke doesn't work the same way that a conventional 2 stroke does. There is no reason why it should be particularly dirty.

It's worth pointing out that a two stroke diesel is a rather different concept than the more conventional, gasoline two stroke found in dirt bikes and chainsaws. It has a normally lubricated crankcase, which gets rid of many of the weaknesses of the 2 stroke gas engine.
