Seems like this article is way too triggered about the fact this guy made a geographically incorrect statement rather than focusing on the fact his comments were crappy and racist regardless of whether or not the geographic aspect was accurate...

Welfare cheats? Huh? Are you talking about “bailouts?” Because those were loans, loans that were paid back with interest. Welfare—cosists of monthly subsistance payments.

1st Gear: Fain is making some pretty ambitious demands in his contract negotiations, so it’s not surprising it’s not going well. I still think they’d probably take a wage increase plus the elimination of tiers, but we’ll see if they end up on strike instead.

The idea hurts my head the more and more I think of it. How about people going to the lake for a weekend/week. You might be able to have public transport to the major places, but say like in Minnesota, like 90% of all those lakes would no longer have anyone go there. So you take public transportation to a lake, wait,

In an ideal world, our cities would be packed with people with high population density.” Sounds like a dystopia.

“...curb CO2 emissions, which is a necessary step in not banning humanity from earth...”

The way it stops, and is damaging to the environment is that the person who sold the EV prior to reaching that magic number is that they’re going to be buying another car, starting again from zero.

Energy independence isn’t the worry that it used to be, we net export oil.

Incentivizing used EV’s should also prop up values for early adopters to sell their older models (since they can count on incentives to reduce the eventual sale price and allow more residual value) and pick up new models which are struggling to sell to EV converts, allowing more EV’s to make it into the hands of more

Existing OEM white collar workers can also learn how to do a manufacturing job in a few hours. They wouldn’t hesitate if it meant keeping their company afloat and paychecks continuing.

Is that you, Fain?

Yes, and there is no relationship between CEO pay and how the company is doing at all.

Strikes lasting months cost jobs, especially blue collar ones. No one benefits from any protracted stalemate, especially the people on strike.

That’s all fine and good, and yet, CEO pay is a drop in the bucket relative to publicly held OEM’s revenue and profits.

We should also keep in mind UAW workers for the Big 3 also received record bonuses based on company profits over the last several years.

That’s not really a list of automotive trends, and more a list of things people don’t like.

branches caught under both fenders, bending the tips ... There is no support in this area.

1. This is about Tesla. Nobody cares about ICEs in this article. We’re also talking about range estimates, not fuel gauges. Don’t do whataboutism.

Both of my cars adjust the expected range based on recent driving habits as shown on my average mpg.

No, Tesla has the data and computing power to properly calculate a proper current usage based range estimate so I will say that choosing to not do so is lying.
