This is the kind of utterly pointless and over-the-top useless feature that should definitely be equipped in other utterly pointless and over-the-top supercars.

This is utterly pointless. And absolutely awesome.
I’ve been on this site for over a decade and this is my first suggestion to posted.
Rivian paused their production line in March for retooling associated with the refresh of the R1S and R1T. I’m sure that had something to do with the low number. They usually average over 1,000 sales per month.
It’s a little unfair to compare those since the Tesla has 8 years of reservations built up that they are finally starting to deliver on. The number of new reservations is literally just the number of them they were actually able to build in that time. I would imagine these level out a bit more over time.
A) The US isn’t acting alone in this. The EU is likely about to pass their own similar tariffs on Chinese EV imports. Which is going to hurt a lot more than what the US is doing.
Your juvenile commentary is almost irritating.. but mostly sad and dumb.
“China can take the moral high ground,” said Wang Huiyao, founder and president of the Beijing-based Center for China and Globalization, a think tank. “It doesn’t play around with those who break international standards and norms.”
It can go from 10 to 80 percent charge in 18 minutes with 240-kW fast-charging
Course there’s always the best, easiest, and quickest results by doing the obvious: stop breeding like rats. 10 offspring/gen after four gens is 1111 people spewing carbon into the atmosphere while 2 offspring/gen for the same period is only 15 carbon spewers. So yes, people will keep their rat-like breeding happening…
I really dislike the constant attempts at establishing some sort of dichotomy and incompatibility between carbon-use reduction and carbon capture. We need to do both, period.
Google doesn’t make cars and also is a properly functioning, stable company.
Not sure if you realize it or not, but google isn’t a car company. Tesla is and this is a car based website.
laying off entire teams of several hundred because the team manager didnt respond to your emails in a timely manner isnt normal. especially with a ceo who thinks he deserved a 50B$ paycheck when his company only has 25B or so on hand.
A huge part of Tesla’s unique value proposition is the Supercharging network. Seeing as their entire Supercharger team was just laid off, that doesn’t inspire confidence when you’re about to spend $40k+ on one of their cars. I don’t fault people for thinking twice.
Especially when the color itself is shit
Imo, your wheels should either be white (maybe pearl white to match the metallic finish of your paint,) OR coral orange. Matching wheel colours might look alright, but I dunno, they just don’t seem to match the flare you’ve gone for with the body colour.
This is just my opinion, but I feel color-matched wheels is too much; I feel there should be some kind of contrast. Black would be basic, some kind of gunmetal would be better, but the best (again imo) would be gold or some kind of bronze
Good lord those wheel look hideous. Why not just go with the standard grey or black?
Yeah this is a 20 year old car. It’s already weird that he’s spending this much time and money on its appearance right?
