This is a pretty good takedown of a bunch of people who likely just had their lives destroyed. Cool.

So we’re clear, European leaders who have no qualms criticizing American leadership and healthcare systems were waiting for American leadership and healthcare to be a guiding light through all of this? Gotcha.
Italy is is Europe. So is Spain, also the UK (kinda), France, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Sweden.
I feel as if a person can’t survive with a 20% pay cut, they’ve set themselves up for failure, and that’s their own damn fault. Now, going down to zero income for an undetermined and possibly extensive amount of time, that could be another story.
I truly don’t mean to sound crass, but isn’t this the entire point of hiring them as contract workers in the first place? When someone is hired on as a contract worker, aren’t they effectively being told “We need and will pay for your help right now. We know that need may disappear at some point in the future, so we…
And Elon Musk received $513m in compensation last year. Honestly $14.5m after a GOOD year is probably deserved. And looking at FCA’s 2019 consolidated statement they spent $11 Billion in general costs & R&D.
That last section sounded almost like you were forced to write it by your editor or something. Knowing they were in good financial standing prior to the massive uncertainty and complete drop in demand for their products is helpful only in reassuring that they might be able to weather the storm if they play it smart…

Defensive replies are unprofessional.
There was a way to share this news without being an asshole about it.
This was back when Chrysler got its mojo back after successfully integrating AMC. It’s really unfortunate how the “merger of equals” severely damaged Chrysler.
I used to think that way... when I was about 13. Then I grew up, got a job, and realised the real fools are the kids that spend all day whining about the nice things they can't afford.
While 183 arrests have been made in connection with fires, only 24 people have actually been charged with arson.
As a Japanese and American citizen, I side with Ghosn - Japan’s justice system is outdated (one of few countries where you have to “prove innocence”), not to mention that Saikawa was out to get him from the beginning. Japan’s always been upset with a “foreign” CEO leading a Japanese company. I hope this is a wake up…
Good for him. As many others have said, he NEVER would have gotten a fair trial in Japan. What is “honorable” behavior when your captors are not treating you anything remotely resembling ‘honorably’?
