I always find this argument/statement pretty funny, because it completely ignores the fact that, while they may have fewer moving parts, in some ways they are just as complicated, if not moreso, than a modern ICE. The coil windings of modern AC induction motors are insane.

Please tell me that’s actually an S70 and that you didn’t M-badge your M70...

The S54 CAN sound good with the right exhaust, but with how raspy the base exhaust note is, most of the time they sound like shit. A guy in my old BMW club regretted straight-piping his E46 M3 so much that he went back to the stock exhaust not too long afterwards.

To be fair, I continued wearing skate shoes (primarily Vans and World Industries, though) for a number of years after I stopped skating, just because they were so comfortable. It also helped that they were built to take way more abuse, so wearing them “normally” meant that they lasted for YEARS before starting to fall

I believe the Promasters have the Tigershark engine, while the vehicles affected by this recall all have the older World Gas Engine developed with Hyundai.

These vehicles used the 2.4L World Gas Engine that was developed in collaboration with Hyundai and Mitsubishi. The post-2014 200, Dart, Cherokee, and Renegade all used the 2.4L Tigershark engine that replaced the 2.4L WGE. IIRC, the WGE was front intake, rear exhaust, while the Tigershark is rear intake, front

But what does that have to do with whether or not it’s fun to drive?

What does it being a BMW have to do with the fun-factor?

I really wish the market would move past this stigma of “cloth seats=cheap”. I vastly prefer cloth seats to leather and all the variations of synthetic leather substitutes out there, but they’re always relegated to base trim packages that get nothing else. Offer the cloth seats with heating and cooling, as well as the

Forgot to factor in Tesla savings from no timing belt replacement, no oil changes, spark plugs, catalytic converter, radiator flushes, transmission fluid, etc. Save a lot of money on no internal combustion engine maintenance.

How is two more digits a mouthful? Nevermind the fact that 6-character engine codes have existed since the M52, which had “technical update” variants like the M52TUB28.

Fuck you, seriously. Did you miss the part where both Alanis and her superiors were outright LIED TO by multiple Geely reps on multiple occasions?

Ever since the 4-door mules started showing up, I’ve always thought that a regular or extended cab with the Unlimited’s wheelbase would make for the perfect-sized truck with a reasonable bed. Maybe AEV will step in to fill that gap?

You do realize that it’s a nod to the P-51 Mustang, right?

Out of curiosity, have you actually driven a newish Challenger? They are most definitely big and heavy, but what FCA has managed to accomplish handling-wise with that ancient chassis is honestly somewhat astounding. It’s kind of like the Lexus RC F in that, while it may not “feel” like a Miata, it will absolutely tear

This is not the Grand Wagoneer, which is targeted to be more of a Range Rover competitor. My guess is that there were delays, as seems to happen with most of FCA’s non-mass market vehicles.

All Jeep assembly is in the US anyways

“who killed himself endangering other people”

I believe such vehicles can be imported for off-road use only. Kei trucks have gotten reasonably popular in the US for farm and industrial work.

You do realize that he was the passenger and not the driver when that accident occurred, right? It even says so in this post.
