That's actually a common misconception that the X1 is 1-series based. It is however based on the 3 series. We don't get S-drive X5s in Norway. Most prefer their SAVs to have X-drive. Personally I don't like the GLA at all. It looks like a toad!

Also the X1 and the GLA (or is that FWD? Only AWD here). Don't get Inifnity here so no knowledge about their lineup.

Don't ever use a powder based extinguisher on or near your car (or inside your house). It will likely do more damage to your electrics than the fire itself. That shit is nasty and gets in everywhere. The powder is so fine it will get into every creak and every corner and you'll have a nightmare getting rid of it all.
