Just going to leave this video here that I made last week of me waking up a stingray and chasing it around:

Not sure I disagree with you, but you could equally say it's not your business if someone kills their two week old infant. At some point it ceases becoming a hypothetical baby and becomes an actual baby. What that point is, I don't think I really know.

a stunning accomplishment considering how the network has been practically gunning for the excellent sitcom's cancelation practically since episode one

So while the energy companies get richer and richer, you go broke slowly trying not to freeze to death.

It's 25% over a year, not per time.

Well they are using a representative national sample, which means that 70ish percent of the people surveyed would be white. Since most people are not middle class in the US though, the second part of your assumption is probably not correct.

You're basing that on the false idea that what is "natural" is always better. It's not natural to have running water or iPhones or live past the age of 30. It's natural to rape (animals do it all the time). It's natural to kill for territory or mates or anything that makes us mad. Fortunately, as humans, we are

Yeah, they are a bunch of assholes, but you don't have to take it out on the animals. I always feel weird in these kinds of discussions because it's like, yeah, PETA is obnoxious, but still people probably need to think about their relationships with meat...

I don't know about the rest, but they are definitely against leather. They are famous for their demonstrations against wearing fur.

That's a pretty bad example. Everything is resistant to penicillin now. If we hadn't continued spending millions of dollars in antibiotic research to come up with newer and better drugs, we would be screwed. Also a ton of people are allergic to penicillin (and latex).

Worst moments in history? Really?

Not only that, I think it would be kind of disingenuous to show someone in full makeup in the ad. Pretty sure women don't go into combat worried about how their hair looks. They are too busy risking their lives.

Heads up, that link goes to the second page of the article. I was very confused until I got to the end and it said "page 2 of 4".

Not sure what you mean by that. In every CS department I have been a part of, the vast majority of women were foreign students.

Or you can go play at a municipal course for like $20 with a set of craiglist clubs you got for another $50. Your argument could be applied to any sport: there is always a "professional" tier of gear and facilities that you can use which costs boat loads of money.

I fly Boston to Baltimore every week and the flight is full 90% of the time. I actually appreciate that they cram all those people onto the plane because I can end up going round trip for only a little more than $100. For me, and lots of other people, the increased comfort would not be worth the price.

They should just point everyone to this video which is way more awesome/effective

Wow that is crazy. Kind of funny to see the normal woman-needs-jewelry thing reversed though.

Of course you can have the same level of commitment without the actual act of marriage, but it is kind of nice to get in front of all your friends and family and say, "I'm in this for the long haul, we are going to make a life together." For me it was very reassuring to have that (admittedly symbolic) gesture from

So... your argument is really that some schools are crap and if you go to a crap school you will get a poor education and companies won't want to hire you? Because that has nothing to do with computer science.
